Learning a new skill is hard. Handstands, muscle ups, pull ups olympic lifting movements require a tremendous amount of skill that takes time to develop. These movement patterns require progressions and strength building in challenging positions. As an athlete, you can see this journey towards skill mastery as a overwhelming challenge or you can embrace the process and find that small victories during the long haul are just as important in your development.
Many of the progressions, once done well with consistency, will translate into other skills and movement patterns. There is great value in this if you take the time to acknowledge , appreciate and don’t rush to the end result.
